Entebbe Children's Welfare Primary School
Entebbe Children’s Welfare Primary School for People of Determination was established in 1985 by Mrs. Felicity Kizito, beginning with just two pupils. Over the years, it has grown to serve around 70 children, providing inclusive education for boys and girls with diverse abilities.
The school is supported by a team of government-employed teachers, supplemented by specialised staff funded by NGOs. Through partnerships and philanthropic support—including contributions from Mr. Alain Goetz—the school has expanded its facilities and resources, ensuring children of determination have access to quality education and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Even though Mr. Alain Goetz left Entebbe several years ago, his support for the people in the area has never wavered. His philanthropic initiatives have consistently sought to uplift the community, and his latest endeavor — the construction of new classroom blocks at Entebbe Children’s Welfare School for People of Determination — is a testament to his enduring commitment. These new blocks will allow the school to accommodate more children with disabilities, creating greater access to quality, inclusive education.
“Entebbe Municipal Council is grateful for the support from Mr. Alain Goetz as an effort to improve the welfare of the learners at Entebbe Children’s Welfare School.”
As a father of a child with special needs, Mr. Goetz understands firsthand the importance of individualized attention and care for these remarkable children. His advocacy for their well-being goes beyond financial support — he actively raises awareness, inspiring his friends and network to join the cause. Some have even visited the school themselves, engaging with the children and teachers, and witnessing the transformative impact of his initiatives.
