Entebbe Youth and Sports
Entebbe, set against the scenic shores of Lake Victoria, has grown into a hub where sports inspire and empower young people. The annual Entebbe Marathon is one of the town’s most vibrant events, drawing participants from across Uganda to test their endurance while raising funds for health and education initiatives.
Alongside this, Masavu Football Club has played a vital role in shaping local talent by offering boys from within Entebbe the chance to chase their football dreams, rather than relying on outside recruits. Together, these initiatives reflect how sports in Entebbe have become more than leisure—they are pathways to opportunity, community, and hope.

Alain Goetz has been a dedicated supporter of sports and youth development in Entebbe. His sponsorship of the Entebbe Marathon has ensured its continued growth as both a celebrated sporting event and a platform for social impact.
Beyond running, he extended his commitment to Masavu Football Club, helping the team overcome challenges such as limited resources for player welfare, jerseys, and equipment. Through his contributions, Goetz has reinforced the idea that sports can open doors for young people and create lasting benefits for vulnerable communities in Entebbe.
