Foodsteps Orphaned children
Foodstep Uganda, often referred to simply as Foodstep, is a children's home in Nkumba, Uganda, founded about 16 years ago by Belgian couple Werner and Nathalie. Moved by the plight of street children, kids from the children’s prison, and severely neglected youths, they began caring for a handful of children in their own home and later expanded to accommodate around 50 children—now with their own land and facility serving as a safe, loving haven.
Over the years, Foodstep has been blessed by the generosity of friends and partners who share in its vision. Among them is Mr. Alain, whose consistent support has been a great pillar for the organization. Whenever Foodstep reaches out for help, he responds promptly, making himself available to give what is needed. His generosity has already created lasting impact—for example, his donation of a full solar power package provided a permanent solution to power outages and high electricity costs, ensuring uninterrupted electricity and a stable home for the children.
Foodstep remains deeply grateful for such unwavering commitment, which strengthens its mission of transforming lives and restoring hope for Uganda’s most vulnerable children.
